The marine life of Vietnam relies heavily on the biodiversity found in Con Dao National Park. Con Dao is a great site for marine life to thrive because of the abundance of coral reefs, seagrass meadows, and mangrove forests.

Con Dao National Park is the connecting tissue that allows life to expand from the rich and varied interior of the Indo-Western Pacific to the waters off the coast of Vietnam.

You should definitely check out Con Dao National Park.

The national park was established on March 31, 1993, when the Prime Minister of Vietnam signed Decision No. 135/TTg.

The Con Dao Mangroves are recognized as Ramsar sites because they are an important habitat for various marine animals. These animals include sea turtles, sea cows (dugongs), and dolphins.

According to the Ramsar Convention's Secretariat, Con Dao National Park is one of 2,203 significant wetlands in the world. The number of Ramsar sites has increased to six. The first Vietnamese national park is located in Con Dao.

Plant life in Con Dao is both varied and plentiful. The region is home to around 882 vascular plant species, representing 562 genera and 161 families.

There are as many as 371 types of trees, 30 kinds of orchids, 103 varieties of vines, and 202 types of herbs. The island is the only place to see some of them.

There are 44 different plant species here, including Chukrasia tabularis and Manikara hexandra. The park's diversity attracts an increasing number of curious visitors. Eco-traveling in Vietnam's Con Dao National Park is highly recommended.

Among the many interesting things to see and do in Con Dao National Park are the following:

The Con Dao gecko is a subspecies of the Cyrtodactylus condorensis bow-fingered gecko and goes by the name Pulo Condore Bow-fingered Gecko.

Con Dao National Park is teeming with deer and mice.

Currently included in the Red Book of the World, the mouse deer is known for its extreme tameness. Con Dao has only recently become aware of its physical existence.

The Mouse Deer, or Cheo Cheo as it is more commonly known, is a member of the family Tragulidae. It's a little, reticent animal.

Come to Con Dao and see the amazing marine life for yourself.

Con Son Bay is located on Con Dao Island, which is surrounded by 14 other islands and rocks. They go by a variety of names, including Tai, Trac, and Rabbit Islets.

They have a family gathering. Bay Canh, Bong Lan, Cau, Trung, and Tre Islets, amongst others, may be seen off in the distance.

Con Son Bay and the surrounding marine protected area, which includes numerous coral reefs, are stunning because of these factors.

Turtle (Vich) Dao Con

The vich, or Chelonia mydas sea turtle, is endemic to the island of Con Dao. This mammal is extremely rare, both in Vietnam and elsewhere.

Con Dao Island has excellent security. One of the best things to do on Con Dao is to watch the turtles nest at night. If not, then you can see between 4 and 6 in the morning.

After Nicabar and Dao dove,

On Con Dao Island, only the Nicobar Dove Con Dao may be found. The Red Book of Vietnam and other countries across the world identify this bird as critically endangered.

Con Dao is home to macaque monkeys.

According to the Red Book, the Macaque Monkey in Con Dao is the rarest animal on both the globe and Vietnam.

This sort of currency exists in the wild world of Tai Islet. Travelers on the route between Con Dao Island and Tai Islet may catch a glimpse of the red-faced monkey.

A tailed squirrel

The Con Dao island squirrel, or Soc Den, is another species in danger of extinction. Its preferred habitat is an ancient nut tree or a big tree close to the forest floor.

The island itself is quite large. Its diet consists primarily of plant matter found at ground level or in the roots of trees.

The Cockatoo Con Dao

The Cock Con Dao are nomadic bush people that make their home far from civilization. Cocks are common sights in the woods over the island, particularly in open areas and near streams.

The Picturesque Views of An Hai Lake

As the island's primary source of potable, sweet water, An Hai Lake is an invaluable resource for island residents. It is also a popular destination for visitors visiting the island.

The crisp, elegant wording complements the breathtaking landscape perfectly. If visitors visit this lake, they can hike up the mountain and take in the scenic views.

The Ma Thien Lanh Bridge

The French built Ma Thien Lanh, a bridge, on Con Dao Island back in the day. It is proof positive that the Vietnamese people were abused and exploited throughout the battle against French colonial rule. This bridge is currently a popular tourist attraction, visited by many people each year.

To Mary Cave

Maria Cave is another well-known spot in Con Dao National Park that you can visit. There's a statue of Maria and lots of other pre-existing building materials in the cave deep in the mountain.

The spiritual life of the French soldiers who fought on the island throughout the war, as well as the history of the island itself, can be better understood by visiting the cave.

The best time to visit Con Dao National Park is from October to May.

Con Dao reacts differently to the warm weather. There are two distinct weather seasons here: the rainy and the dry.

The rainy season is from May to October, whereas the dry season is from November to April. Each visitor will be charged 60,000 VND to access the park.

From what I've seen, the best time to visit Con Dao National Park is every year, from April to October. Even though it's raining heavily at the moment, the weather in Con Dao—both land and sea—is quite pleasant.

In addition, a visit to the islands is not complete until you've witnessed the turtles laying their eggs.
